Name and date first, size second
Kerala PSC notices say the name of the candidate and the date of taking the photograph should be printed at the bottom of the photo. If you resize first and add the text later, the picture grows taller and no longer measures 150 × 200 pixels. So do it in this order: open Add Name and Date to Photo, type your name as in your profile and the date the photo was taken, and download the result. Then select that file here and frame it so the white band with the text sits at the bottom of the box.
At 200 pixels high the letters are small, so the band takes a good part of the photo. Keep the frame tight around your head and shoulders, with the band just under them. The text should be readable when you open the final JPG at full size.
Rules for the photo itself
The notice asks for a clear view of face and shoulders, the face centred, eyes open, and a white or light-coloured background. Caps and goggles are not allowed except when worn as a religious custom. If you create a new profile, the photo must have been taken within the last six months.
An accepted photo stays valid for ten years from the day it was uploaded, so most candidates do this once. If PSC asks you to change it, take a fresh photo and print the new date on it.
Signature for the same profile
Thulasi also asks for a signature image. Exam guides give its limit as 150 × 100 pixels and up to 30 KB; check the instructions shown in your profile. Resize Signature crops your signature and keeps it under 20 KB, which fits that limit.
