Passport Photo Maker in 3 steps

  1. Take a photo against a plain light wall, facing the camera, and select it here.
  2. Choose the size, then move and resize the box until your face fits the oval.
  3. Click Make photo and download the JPG or the print sheet.

Sizes, printing and what we do not check

Each size follows the official measurements: 35×45 mm for the EU, the UK, India and most of the world, 2×2 inches for US passports and visas, 26×32 mm for the Spanish DNI and passport, 33×48 mm for Chinese visas, 50×60 mm for Turkey and 50×70 mm for Canada, plus the common 3×4 and 4×6 cm. The photo is saved at 300 DPI, so it prints at exactly that size.

The print sheet places several copies on a standard 10×15 cm (4×6 inch) photo, with thin cutting lines. Print it at actual size, without borderless or fit-to-page options, at a photo kiosk or an online lab, where it usually costs a few cents. The tool only crops and sizes your picture: it does not check biometric rules such as lighting, expression, glasses or background colour, so read the rules of your country and take a photo that meets them.

Frequently asked questions

What size is a passport photo?

In the EU, the UK, India and most countries it is 35×45 mm, with the head 32 to 36 mm tall. US passports use 2×2 inches (51×51 mm). Spain asks for 26×32 mm for the DNI and passport, China 33×48 mm for visas and Canada 50×70 mm. Always check the current rules of the office that will receive it.

How do I make a passport photo at home?

Stand in front of a plain white or light grey wall with even daylight on your face, and ask someone to take the photo at eye level from about 1.5 metres away. Select it here, choose the size, fit your face in the oval and download the photo or the print sheet.

How do I print the photo at the right size?

Choose the print sheet and print the 10×15 cm file as a normal photo print, at 100 percent or actual size, with borderless printing turned off. Then cut along the thin lines. Do not let the printer or app scale the image, or the size will be wrong.

Does this tool check that my photo will be accepted?

No. It crops and sizes your photo exactly, but it does not check biometric rules such as lighting, shadows, expression, glasses or background colour, and it does not remove the background. Follow the official requirements of your country when you take the photo.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. Your portrait is cropped and resized inside your browser on your own device, so it is never sent to us or stored anywhere. That matters for an image as personal as an ID photo. Once the page has loaded, it works offline too.
