IBPS photo resizer
The IBPS application form checks two numbers on your photo: 200 × 230 pixels and a file between 20 and 50 KB. This page gives you a JPG that meets both in one step.

Why the form keeps rejecting the photo
The notification is blunt about it: until the photograph and signature match the specifications, the system will not let you move to the next stage. Most rejections come from the file size, not the picture. A phone photo straight from the camera weighs 2 to 5 MB, far above 50 KB. A photo that has been squeezed by a compressor app often ends up at 8 or 12 KB, below the 20 KB minimum.
At 200 × 230 pixels a clean JPG is naturally light, so hitting the minimum is the harder part. This tool saves the best quality that stays under 50 KB and, if the result is still under 20 KB, adds empty bytes inside the file so it reaches the minimum. The picture itself is not touched, and the pixel size stays exactly 200 × 230.
Uploaded photo and live photo
IBPS now asks for two photos. The first is the file you prepare here. The second is captured live inside the form: Capture Photo opens your webcam, or Click here to Scan shows a QR code that opens the camera on your phone. The live picture is uploaded automatically, so there is nothing to resize for it.
The do and do not list for the live photo is the same as for the uploaded one: light, preferably white background, enough light, look straight at the camera, no cap or coloured glasses, no mask, no blur. Take both on the same day in the same place and they will look alike, which is what the person checking your documents at the exam and the interview expects.
Taking the photo at home
Stand a step away from a plain white or light wall, facing a window. The notification suggests having the sun behind you or standing in the shade if you are outside, so that you do not squint and there are no harsh shadows. If you use the flash, check for red eye. Glasses are allowed when there are no reflections and your eyes are clearly visible. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not accepted; religious headwear is allowed if it does not cover the face.
The tool does not change the background. If your wall is grey or patterned, run the photo through Change Photo Background first, then come back here.
Frequently asked questions
Is 200 × 230 pixels compulsory for IBPS?
The notification calls it preferred. The 20 to 50 KB range is what the form enforces, and a 200 × 230 file made here meets both.
My photo is 15 KB. How do I make it 20 KB?
Run it through this page with 20 to 50 KB chosen. If the saved JPG is lighter than 20 KB, the tool pads it up without changing the picture.
Does the same size work for SBI or RBI exams?
Those banks publish their own notices with their own scanning rules. Check the annexure of the exam you are applying for and pick the matching pixels and KB in the tool.
Where do I resize the IBPS signature?
On the IBPS signature resize page, which makes 140 × 60 px and 10 to 20 KB from a photo of your signature.
Is my photo uploaded to your site?
No. The photo is cropped and saved in your browser on your own device.
