Split PDF in 3 steps

  1. Select the PDF you want to split, or drop it on the box.
  2. Click Split PDF.
  3. Download the ZIP with one PDF per page.

When splitting a PDF helps

Scanners and banks love to produce one long PDF: a stack of receipts, a batch of invoices, a set of signed forms. Splitting gives you each page as its own file, so you can rename it, file it in the right folder or send only the page someone asked for.

Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so text stays selectable and the quality is identical to the original. Every file is named with its page number, and all of them arrive together in a single ZIP. To put some of them back together later, use Merge PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How do I split a PDF into multiple files?

Select your PDF and click Split PDF. Every page is saved as a separate PDF file inside one ZIP. Unzip it and you have each page ready to rename, share or combine again with Merge PDF.

Does splitting reduce the quality?

No. Each page is copied exactly as it is, with its text, images, fonts and links. Nothing is converted or compressed, so the new files look identical to the pages in your original PDF.

Can I split a large PDF with many pages?

Yes. Files up to 50 MB can be split for free. Because everything happens on your own device, there is no server queue: a 200-page document usually takes a few seconds on a computer.

How do I split a PDF into two documents?

Split it into single pages here, then use Merge PDF to join the pages of each half back into a document. A dedicated option to split by page ranges in one step is coming soon.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The tool runs inside your browser on your own device, so your files are never sent to us or stored anywhere. Once the page has loaded you could even disconnect from the internet and it would keep working.
