About these terms

These terms govern your use of freeonlinefileconvert.com (the “service”), operated by Lupo Rooms S.L., tax ID (CIF) B-26746925, Calle Ramon Mas 31, 1st floor, door 4, 08174 Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona), Spain. By using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Contact: info@freeonlinefileconvert.com.

What the service offers

FreeOnlineFileConvert offers online tools to convert, combine, compress and edit files such as PDFs, images, documents, audio and data. The tools run in your browser: your files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

Free use and limits

The free tools are free for real: no account, no watermark and no charge. You may use them for personal and professional purposes. Each tool accepts files of up to 50 MB each and up to 20 files at a time.

Because processing happens on your device, the speed and the maximum size you can handle also depend on your browser and the memory available. We may change the tools and limits to keep the service working well; the limits that apply are always shown on each tool before you add a file.

The Pro plan

We plan to offer a paid Pro plan with extra features or higher limits. Until it launches, everything is free.

When Pro launches, any feature or limit that requires Pro will be clearly marked on the tool before you add a file, never as a surprise when you download the result. The price, what is included, how to cancel and the rest of the conditions will be shown before you pay. Payments will be made through Stripe’s secure checkout page.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your Pro purchase within 14 calendar days, without giving any reason. We do not ask you to waive that right: Pro starts straight away, and if you write to info@freeonlinefileconvert.com within those 14 days we refund the full amount to the same payment method, usually within a few working days. After the 14 days you can cancel at any time from your account: Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and is not renewed.

Unlimited access for a set time (one-off payment)

If a job goes over the free limits (files over 50 MB or more than 20 files at a time), we tell you as soon as you add the files, before converting, together with the price. You can remove the extra files and stay free, or convert anyway and decide when you download.

To download that result you can buy unlimited access for 30 minutes for €1.99 or for 1 hour for €2.99, VAT included. It is a one-off payment: no subscription, no renewal and no account needed. During that time you get the Pro plan limits (files up to 500 MB and up to 200 files at a time) in every tool, in that browser. Payment is handled by Stripe; you will receive the receipt at the email address you give when paying.

The access is digital content that starts as soon as you pay. Therefore, before paying, we ask you to confirm expressly that you want it to start right away and that you accept that, once it has started, you lose your right of withdrawal (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU). This does not affect your rights if the service does not work as described: if you pay and cannot download your file because of a fault on our side, write to info@freeonlinefileconvert.com and we will refund you.

User accounts

An account is optional. You can sign in with Google or with a sign-in link sent to your email. You must give accurate information, keep access to your email secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account page or by writing to us.

You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. If you are younger, a parent or guardian must create it and is responsible for its use.

Family & Friends access

During the launch, the first users who create an account join the Family & Friends list. Members get free lifetime access to Pro, for as long as the service exists. This means:

• You get the Pro features and limits that apply to paying Pro users at any given time, at no cost and without having to enter payment details.
• The access is personal and non-transferable. It is linked to the account and email address you signed up with, and it cannot be sold, shared, exchanged for money or moved to another account.
• We may withdraw it if the account is used abusively (for example, automated or massive use, or sharing the account with others) or if you breach these terms. Except in serious cases, we will warn you first and give you a chance to explain.
• It ends if the service or the Pro plan closes permanently. If that happens, we will try to let you know by email at least 30 days in advance.
• Places are limited and we decide when the list closes. Membership is shown on your account page.

What you must not do

When using the service you agree not to:

• process files whose content is illegal, or that you have no right to use, or that infringe the rights of others (copyright, privacy, trade secrets, etc.);
• use the tools to remove protections, passwords or restrictions from files that belong to someone else. Tools that remove restrictions, such as unlocking a PDF, may only be used with your own documents or with the permission of their owner;
• disrupt or overload the website, try to get around its limits or security measures, or access areas that are not public;
• copy, scrape or reproduce the website or its content in an automated way, or resell the service as your own;
• use the service for spam, fraud or any other unlawful purpose.

Your files and our content

Your files belong to you. We claim no rights over them, and since they are processed on your device we do not receive them. You are responsible for having the right to use the files you process.

The design, texts, logo, brand and code of the website belong to Lupo Rooms S.L. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual and industrial property law. You may not reuse them without our permission, except where the law or an open-source licence allows it.

Open-source software

The tools are built on open-source libraries, each under its own licence. You can see the list of libraries, their licences and where to get their source code in the open-source section of our Legal Notice (/legal).

No warranty

We work to make every conversion accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every file will be converted perfectly or that the service will always be available or error-free. Some files are damaged, unusual or too large for your device. Always keep a copy of your original file and check the result before relying on it.

The free tools are provided “as is”. This does not limit the rights you have as a consumer under the law, including your rights if you pay for Pro and it does not work as described.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lupo Rooms S.L. is not liable for indirect damage, loss of profits or loss of data arising from the use of the free service, or for interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Spanish consumer law.

Links and advertising

The site may include links to other websites or, in the future, advertising from third parties. We are not responsible for the content or policies of those websites.

Changes to the service and to these terms

We may update the service and these terms, for example when we add tools or launch Pro. We will publish the new version on this page with its date. If the change is important and you have an account, we will tell you by email before it applies. Changes never affect a Pro period you have already paid for.

We may suspend or close the service, or an individual account that breaches these terms. If we close the service permanently, we will announce it in advance on the website.

Applicable law and courts

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, any dispute will be heard by the courts of your place of residence, and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country. If you use the service as a business, the courts of Barcelona will have jurisdiction.
