Voice notes
WhatsApp voice notes are Opus files. Turn them into text you can read, or into MP3s that play anywhere.
Files too big to send
Make a video, a photo or a PDF small enough to share in a chat or a group.
Photos and documents
Turn photos of papers into one PDF, or get the text out of a screenshot.
How to get a file out of WhatsApp
On Android, press and hold the message, tap Share and save it to your files, or forward it to yourself. On an iPhone, press and hold, tap Forward, then the share button and Save to Files. In WhatsApp Web and the desktop app, open the menu of the message and choose Download. Then open the tool you need on this page and select the file.
These tools run in your browser, on your phone or computer. Private voice notes, family videos and photos of documents are never uploaded, and nothing is stored after you close the page.
Frequently asked questions
How do I transcribe a WhatsApp voice note?
Save the voice note as a file, open WhatsApp Audio to Text and select it. The language is detected automatically and the text appears after a few seconds, ready to copy into a reply or a note.
Why can I not send a video on WhatsApp?
WhatsApp limits the size of videos and compresses them heavily. Compress Video with a target such as Under 25 MB makes the file fit while keeping it as sharp as possible, and Trim Video lets you send only the part you need.
Is this an official WhatsApp tool?
No. These are independent free tools for the files you save from WhatsApp. They are not made by or connected to WhatsApp or Meta.
