Text to PDF in 3 steps

  1. Select your TXT files, or drop them on the box.
  2. Pick the page size, the font and the text size.
  3. Click Convert to PDF and download the file.

Plain text, laid out properly

A TXT file has no pages, margins or fonts, so printing it from a basic editor often gives tiny text or lines cut off at the edge of the paper. This converter puts the text on A4 or Letter pages with comfortable margins, wraps long lines at the margin instead of cutting them, and keeps every line break and blank line where you put it. The PDF contains real text that can be searched and copied.

Choose the monospaced font for code, logs, tables made with spaces and ASCII art, so every column stays aligned. Choose the normal font for notes, letters and anything meant to be read. The text encoding is detected automatically, so files saved on old Windows computers keep their accents, and other alphabets such as Greek, Cyrillic, Chinese or Arabic are still shown.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a TXT file to PDF?

Select the TXT file, choose A4 or Letter, the font and the text size, and click Convert to PDF. The PDF downloads straight away. You can convert up to 20 text files at once and get them together in a ZIP.

Will my line breaks and spacing be kept?

Yes. Every line of the file starts a new line in the PDF and blank lines stay blank. Lines longer than the page are wrapped at the margin. With the monospaced font, spaces keep columns aligned exactly as they look in a code editor.

Why do accents look wrong in some converters?

Text files can be saved in different encodings, and reading one as another turns é into é. This tool checks whether the file is UTF-8, UTF-16 or the older Windows encoding before converting, so accented letters come out right.

Can I convert log files or source code?

Yes. Log files (.log) can be selected directly, and source code can be saved or renamed as .txt first. Choose the monospaced font so indentation, columns and tables drawn with characters keep their alignment on the page.

Is my document uploaded to a server?

No. The file is read and converted inside your browser on your own device, so contracts, CVs, reports and notes are never sent to us or stored anywhere. Once the page has loaded it keeps working even without an internet connection.
