SVG to PNG in 3 steps

  1. Select your SVG files, or drop them on the box.
  2. Choose the width of the PNG, from 256 px to 4K.
  3. Click Convert to PNG and download the images.

Why SVG converts so well

SVG is a vector format: it describes shapes, not pixels, so it can be drawn sharp at any size. That is why the width setting matters. A logo exported at 256 pixels is perfect for an app icon, while 2048 or 3840 pixels gives you a crisp image for slides, print or a banner.

PNG is the format most apps, social networks and office programs accept, and it keeps transparency. Areas without a fill in your SVG stay transparent in the PNG. Fonts are drawn with what your device has installed, so convert text to outlines in your design tool if the font is unusual.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert SVG to PNG without losing quality?

Choose a width at least as large as you will display the image. Because SVG is a vector, every size is rendered fresh and stays perfectly sharp. For print or high-density screens, pick 2048 pixels or 4K.

Does SVG to PNG keep the transparent background?

Yes. Any part of the SVG without a background or fill stays transparent in the PNG, so a logo can be placed on top of a coloured slide, photo or website without a white box around it.

What size should my PNG be?

For a website icon or favicon, 256 pixels is plenty. For logos on a website or in a document, 1024 pixels. For presentations, print and large banners, choose 2048 pixels or 4K. The height follows the proportions of your SVG.

Is it safe to convert SVG files from the internet?

Yes. SVG files can contain scripts, but this tool draws them as a plain image, which means browsers do not run any code inside them. Your SVG is never uploaded either.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The tool runs inside your browser on your own device, so your files are never sent to us or stored anywhere. Once the page has loaded you could even disconnect from the internet and it would keep working.
