Increase image size to 50 KB
Some uploads have a 50 KB floor, such as the IBPS handwritten declaration. If your scan comes out at 25 or 35 KB, this brings it to 50 KB without changing what it shows.

Where a 50 KB minimum shows up
The handwritten declaration in bank exams is the classic case. IBPS wants it as an 800 × 400 pixel JPG between 50 and 100 KB. A page of black ink on white paper compresses extremely well, so a clean scan at that size often weighs 30 KB and is refused. Padding it to 50 KB keeps the scan crisp and inside the 100 KB ceiling.
The Chinese visa online photo has a 40 KB floor, so a file raised to 50 KB passes with room to spare. The UK passport service also starts at 50 KB, but there the photo must be unedited and is normally a full phone photo, which is far bigger already; you would rarely need this page for it.
Going from 20 KB to 50 KB
The tool adds bytes to a comment section inside the JPG, which viewers and portals ignore. It does not upscale, sharpen or recompress the picture, so text in a scan stays as sharp as it was and the pixel size the form checks does not move. Starting from 20 KB or from 45 KB, you get a file just over 50 KB.
If the form needs exact pixels as well, for example 800 × 400, resize the image first with Resize Image, then come back here. For photos, Exam & Visa Photo Resizer does pixels and a KB range in one step.
When 50 KB is not the only limit
Check the maximum too. Padding stops just over the minimum, so a 50 to 100 KB window is safe, but if your file already weighs more than 50 KB, it is returned unchanged and you may need Compress Image instead. For higher floors, the At least menu also offers 100, 200, 300 and 500 KB.
