Increase image size to 20 KB
Exam portals that want a photo between 20 and 50 KB reject a file of 12 or 15 KB just as firmly as one of 80 KB. This raises a small JPG to 20 KB and leaves the picture exactly as it is.

Increase image size to 20 KB in 3 steps
- Select the photo, signature or thumb impression the form calls too small. 20 KB is already chosen.
- Click Increase size. The pixels are not touched; only the file grows.
- Download the JPG and upload it again. It will weigh a little over 20 KB.

Why a small photo is a problem at all
A minimum size looks odd, but it is the portal's rough way of refusing blurry, over-compressed pictures. The catch is that a correct 200 × 230 pixel photo is small by nature. Save it with a phone editor or an online compressor and it easily lands at 9 to 15 KB, and the form stops you. Making the picture larger in pixels would fix the KB and break the pixel check, which IBPS and other boards also apply.
This tool takes the other route. It writes empty bytes into a comment section of the JPG, a part of the file that image viewers and upload checkers skip. The file reaches the minimum, the dimensions stay the same and not one pixel changes.
From 5 KB or 10 KB to 20 KB
It does not matter how far below the minimum you start. A 5 KB thumb impression and a 15 KB photo both come out a little over 20 KB, well below a 50 KB maximum. PNG and WebP files are first saved as a high-quality JPG, because almost every exam form takes only JPG or JPEG. A file that already weighs 20 KB or more is returned untouched.
If the photo is too small because it was squeezed hard and now looks blocky, padding hides the number but not the blur. In that case start again from the original phone photo with Exam & Visa Photo Resizer, which crops, resizes and lands inside the KB range at the best quality in one step.
Several files at once
You can select the photo and the thumb impression together; each comes back padded to at least 20 KB. For a signature with a 10 to 20 KB window, do not use 20 KB here: choose 10 KB in the At least menu, or use Resize Signature, which handles that range directly.
Frequently asked questions
How do I increase a photo from 10 KB to 20 KB?
Select it, keep 20 KB chosen and click Increase size. The downloaded JPG weighs just over 20 KB and looks the same.
Will the pixel size change?
No. Width and height stay exactly as they were, so a 200 × 230 photo is still 200 × 230.
Will the form detect the padding?
No. It is a standard JPG comment section that every viewer ignores. The file opens like any other photo.
Is my image uploaded to your site?
No. The file is changed in your browser on your own device.
