What a complete name tag is
A name tag is the white strip at the bottom of an ID picture with your name printed on it, the way photo studios in the Philippines make them. "Complete" means your full name, not a nickname or initials only. The usual format is first name, middle initial and surname, plus a suffix such as Jr. if you have one; write it exactly as in your application so the officer can match the photo to your file.
This tool adds the tag as a white band under the picture in bold black letters, sized to the width so a long name still fits on one line. There is no date, because PRC asks for the name only. If you also need a date for another office, open All options and set Date on the photo to Yes.
Printing it passport size
PRC wants printed pictures, so the file has to become a print of the right size. After adding the tag, open Passport Photo Maker, choose 35 × 45 mm and place the frame so your face and the name tag both fit, with the tag along the bottom edge. Choose Photo + 10 × 15 cm print sheet and print the sheet at a photo shop or on a home printer at 100%, then cut out the copies you need. For a 2x2 picture with name tag, choose 2 × 2 in instead.
Take the photo against a plain white wall in even light, in decent clothes, looking straight at the camera. The tools crop and add text but do not replace the background.
Civil Service Exam: a different kind of name tag
The Civil Service Commission works differently. CSC announcements for the Civil Service Exam ask for a hand-held name tag in the photo, with your signature over your printed full name, written by hand rather than computer printed. A printed band like the one made here does not meet that rule. For the CSC exam, write the tag on paper, hold it below your chin when the photo is taken, and check the current announcement from your CSC regional office.
